A campaign to celebrate nine centuries of St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2023 has the potential to transform care for our east London communities.

We are driving forward with our fundraising campaign, writes Will Palin, chief executive of Barts Heritage, the charity established to restore the historic buildings at St Bartholomew's Hospital.

Now that all our redeployed staff have returned and with Nurses’ Day just around the corner, we can begin to look to the future, one in which nursing continues to adapt, innovate and do amazing things.

The vaccination hub team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital have been responsible for a safe and effective service for local residents in the City of London, NHS staff and some of the most vulnerable cancer and cardiac patients receiving treatment at the hospital. 

Celebrations are taking place on Wednesday 12 May to mark the 471st View Day.
