Shape Your Story at St Bartholomew's Hospital
Shape your story in theatre
Band 5 theatre scrub practitioners
We’re currently seeking talented and enthusiastic Band 5 theatre scrub practitioners to join our growing cardiac and cancer teams.
In this role, you’ll provide safe and effective care to patients across our ten adult theatres, covering a range of both elective and emergency work.
You’ll work across the cardiac surgical programme, with cardiac, thoracic, thoracic-robotic, thoraco-abdominal aneurysm surgery, grown up congenital heart (GUCH) and cath lab electrophysiology cases.
The Barts Cancer Centre encompasses medical oncology, clinical oncology and radiotherapy, heamato-oncology, palliative care, breast surgery and endocrinology.
Experience within theatre nursing is essential. Once appointed, you’ll quickly build your knowledge with support of a mentor and an experienced multidisciplinary team.
We offer a wide range of development opportunities, including a Band 5/6 development programme, buddy, line management and clinical nurse educator support, further academic studies, the chance to attend external conferences and courses, and rotation into different specialities.
