News from Newham

In January, we welcomed colleagues from the army to our hospital. They provided support – known as military aid to the civil authorities (MACA) – to our hospital to help us manage winter pressures and the fourth wave of Covid-19.  

This week, we welcome Tom Ellis as the new director of strategy at Newham Hospital. We caught up with Tom to find out a bit about him and what he’s looking forward to most about his new role.

We are restarting the family contact centre at Newham Hospital to allow families who are unable to visit their loved ones to stay in touch with them.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Victorina (Vicky) Moseley, a nurse on Rainbow Ward, who died earlier this month after a long-term illness.
