Pudsey the bear with a patient

Children in Need mascot Pudsey brightened up young patients’ faces at Newham University Hospital with a surprise visit.

Pudsey popped into the Rainbow Centre and spent some time with patients and gave each of them a colouring pack. The bear also posed for photographs with children and staff.

Josephine Bakah, Rainbow Ward Manager, said: “We’re delighted Pudsey visited us – a big thank you to Asda Beckton for making this possible and bringing Pudsey along. Entertainment provides a real comfort to our young patients, improving their experience at what can be a difficult time. It was a fantastic surprise.”
