Staff at the children’s centre at Newham University Hospital came together to raise £540 to support children living with cancer.

A range of sweet treats including brownies, cupcakes, cakes, gingerbread and shortbread baked by staff were sold to patients, members of the public and hospital workers.

Hamera Elahi, specialist play worker, who organised the event said: “I am thrilled with our success! Thank you so much to colleagues across the hospital who baked and brought in cakes. We really value all the support that Macmillan offers us and our young patients and it's fantastic that we can give something back.”
