Ensuring our hospitals are safe for all
As we begin to resume services and national restrictions ease, we are implementing key measures within the trust to ensure we keep our hospitals safe for treatment, to work in or visit.
Covid-19 is still a threat to our staff and patients and robust infection control must remain a cornerstone of our plans for managing the next phase of the pandemic. Therefore, we must adapt the environment of our hospitals to reduce the risk of exposure and align our behaviours accordingly.
That means:
- Wearing a face mask when visiting our hospitals or premises
- Staying socially safe both inside and outside hospitals
- Remembering to regularly wash our hands
Additionally, we are dividing our hospitals into coloured zones designed to keep Covid and non-Covid patients apart at all times. Each zone will have separate entrances and be staffed by different teams. Further information on what this means for you when you visit our hospitals will be shared soon.
Look out for signage being put up across our hospitals to help reinforce these messages and serve as a regular reminder to all staff and visitors.
Further guidance regarding visiting our hospitals during this time is also available.
