Celebrating our nurses and midwives
Last week, we shined a spotlight on our nurses and midwives in a special event held at St Bartholomew’s historic Great Hall.
Nurses and midwives were individually invited to the event and were recognised for their dedication and hard work over the past year.
Our chief executive, Alwen Williams, and our chair in common, Rt Hon Jacqui Smith, attended the event, as well as members of our non-executive board and senior leadership teams.
Our winners are:
- Elizabeth Ward - Quality of Care award
- Tahmina Sayani - Nurse of the year

- Critical Care - Nursing Informatics award

A big thank you for all the support you have given me and the therapy team. I’m looking forward to the AHP awards evening in October.”

“The recipients of these awards are truly deserving, and I am very proud to lead such brilliant nurses and midwives at Whipps Cross, ones who uphold the highest professionalism and dedication to their profession. Congratulations again to all the winners.”
