Clinicians at Barts Health NHS Trust are helping to reduce the time patients spend in hospital after heart surgery.

Simon Woldman, the director of our Barts Heart Centre, has been named an honorary clinical professor by our academic partners, Queen Mary University of London.

Consultant cardiologist Dr Edward Rowland, who served as medical director of St Bartholomew’s Hospital until recently, has received the Mackenzie Medal from the British Cardiovascular Society.
