Our first stars of the year
Congratulations to the Birthing Centre midwives team on being awarded our January Star of the Month – the first of 2023!
The team were nominated for the ‘excellent care’ and ‘great work they do’ for families coming into the centre. Their nomination reads:
“I have experienced the excellent care of Katrina both as a patient (as my wife gave birth two months back) and as a colleague. Katrina and her team provide excellent care to patients and their families, and the whole team goes out of their way to accommodate the needs of families. They will stay past their shift to deliver babies and make sure the families are okay.
“More recently we had an unfortunate situation at birthing centre, and the team was really taken aback but still very respectful and accommodating to family. I was able to provide Chaplaincy support and witness first hand their professionalism.”
Speaking on our January stars, our CEO Simon Ashton, said:
“Our midwives are an incredibly important part of the care we provide for our patients, both in the hospital and in the community.
“Our Birthing Centre midwives work hard to ensure that families are supported and cared for throughout the delivery process, and it’s great to see the excellent care they provide highlighted in their nomination. A big well done and thank you all!”
