Transforming sexual health in our communities

Alongside partners Safe East, Shine (under 21s service), Waltham Forest Outreach, and Positive East, our sexual health team have been out all summer engaging and connecting with our local communities.

Our All East Sexual Health team were out and about during summer, attending major hot spots across the city including: London Pride, Tower Hamlets Summer Fair, Forest Gate Festival, Waltham Forest Festival, Black Pride, Langthorn Park events, All Points East and The Neighbourhood Festival.

The team's mission is to educate on sexual health, reduce stigma and ensure they are reaching as many people as possible - especially those who are hard to reach or more at risk.

So far in 2024, the team have:

  • Distributed 4,000+ condoms
  • Shared 9,000+ service leaflets
  • Provided 700+ STI screenings
  • Administered 100+ MPOX and HPV vaccines

Garry Huggan, senior health advisor said:

Vaccinating in the heart of the community means we make sure everyone has access to life-saving shots in a space they know and trust. It’s all about promoting equity, building connections, and protecting the most vulnerable among us.

The team reached people from all ages (19-51) and a wide range of diverse backgrounds.
