Blood test bookings are coming to St Bartholomew's Hospital

Patients who need a blood test at St Bartholomew’s Hospital can now book and manage their appointments online.

Bookings can be made for 14 April onwards using the popular Swiftqueue system which is already in place at our other Barts Health hospital sites.

Until now, only walk-in appointments have been available to St Bartholomew’s Hospital patients.

A number of slots will now be reserved for Swiftqueue users – and this number is expected to grow once our patients get accustomed to the new system.

A limited number of walk-in appointments will be made available to hospital outpatients requiring a same-day service

Using Swiftqueue, patients can view, rearrange and cancel their appointments. An email address is required to register with the system.

For those unable to access Swiftqueue, there will be a booking kiosk in clinic one on the ground floor of our KGV building.

Telephone bookings can also be made on 020 346 56868 between 10am-12pm, Monday to Friday.

Online bookings can be made for St Bartholomew’s or any of our other Trust sites.

We are unable to accommodate requests for blood tests made by GPs.

Outpatients matron Ange Uwera said: “Swiftqueue offers greater convenience for patients and helps us to better plan and deliver our blood test service.

“Feedback from patients at our sister hospitals has been incredibly positive and I’m looking forward to the system going live here at St Bartholomew’s.”

The blood test service at St Bartholomew's Hospital is based in clinic one on the ground floor of our King George V building.
