Volunteer with us
If you are able to regularly volunteer for us, we have a range of unpaid roles within all our hospitals and our 800 volunteers who help us every day in many different roles. We simply could not do all that we do without our wonderful team of volunteers who donate their time and help us to offer safe and compassionate care for our patients.
What’s in it for you?
Donating your time to your local hospital makes a massive difference to both to you and your local community. Volunteering in a busy environment like a hospital can be exciting and very rewarding and we want you to enjoy being part of our team. We will support you to make sure you are properly trained and have a named point of contact while you are with us.
You’ll make new friends and meet and work with new people from all walks of life which you learn new skills and gain new experience. Our volunteers tell us they feel more confident and if you are looking for work, volunteering is a great way to show potential employers that you are reliable, committed to work and training.
Best of all, volunteering improves your health! Studies have concluded that people who volunteer live longer, have better brain function and lower rates of depression than those who don’t.
