Thinking of coming back to nursing?

If you are a qualified nurse with lapsed registration, our friendly team can support your journey back to the wards. We offer an excellent package with exclusive benefits and the chance to gain unparalleled experience and learning opportunities in our five hospitals in the heart of east London.

Whether you are no longer registered because you’ve been working abroad, stopped nursing while you have children or have been trying your hand at another career, our team of supportive tutors and mentors can help you get your NMC registration so you can return to practice.

Your journey back to the wards

Our return to practice programme can be tailored to your own needs and is perfect for those hoping to work part time. Over a period of 3-6 months, you will attend City University with the remainder of your time spent on a clinical placement where a mentor will work with you to record your competence in clinical skills.

All course fees are paid, and you will be too, as a Band 3 nurse. We are also able to give assistance in travel and child care fees.

Once you have completed the return to practice programme and registered with the NMC, you will be invited to join our graduate nurses on the preceptorship programme which will complete your transition to confident and competent practitioner.

Bringing out your best

We are committed to providing safe and compassionate care across East London. You’ll have the opportunity to work with world-leading medical staff and draw on their depth of experience as well as working in a wide range of clinical environments. Our staff team is our greatest asset in delivering safe and compassionate care and we will bring out your best.
