Overseas nurses

If you are a qualified nurse but don’t have an NMC registration to work in the UK, our international nursing programme can help. We offer an excellent package with exclusive benefits and the chance to gain unparalleled experience and learning opportunities across our five major hospitals at the heart of east London.

London is one of the most vibrant cities in the world and people move here from all over the world for the huge range of opportunities and experiences open to them. Our hospitals are in the east of the city and are easily accessed by public transport from all over London, Essex and Kent meaning you can chose whether you’d like to live in the capital, a smaller town or in the countryside. You’ll work with a wide range of patients – it is estimated that around 300 languages are spoken in London – and work alongside world leading medical staff.

Bringing out your best

We are committed to providing safe and compassionate care across east London. You’ll have the opportunity to work with world-leading medical staff and draw on their depth of experience as well as working in a wide range of clinical environments. Our staff team is our greatest asset in delivering safe and compassionate care and we will bring out your best.

Nurses from the EU/EEA

We welcome applications from the EU/EEA. You will need to pass the IELTS exam at level 7 in all 4 components. Once you join our team, you will join our transition programme which lasts 4 weeks.

International nurses

Your first four weeks will be spent taking part in our OSCE preparatory programme so that you are able to take the NMC Test of Competence.

For all nurses coming from overseas, we can help with practical arrangements such as setting up bank account and making sure you are registered to work in the UK. We will support you throughout your first 18 months with our preceptorship programme and on the wards by our experienced nurses and clinicians.
