Save the date – Barts Health open day

Look out for your health and protect loved ones while enjoying free family activities at the Barts Health annual open day.

Come along to The Royal London Dental Hospital on Saturday, 16 September 2017 11.30-3.30pm.

Meet the surgical team making history using cutting edge virtual reality technology, and take the opportunity to tour the historic museum of The Royal London Hospital.

For those looking for work or an apprenticeship, pop along with your CVs and meet our teams to discuss career opportunities at our recruitment fair.

There will be many clinical staff to speak to from across the Trust’s five hospitals, and interactive stalls to explore on a range of topics from kidney to dental health including advice on preventing tooth decay and the risks of betel nut and paan.

Support will also be on hand for those wanting to stop smoking or eat healthier, or even get volunteering with the Trust to help others.

There will also be a teddy bear clinic for children to bring their best friends along to make sure that they are fighting fit, whilst learning all about staying healthy.

Taster massages will be provided by the Trust’s complementary therapies team, and a host of activities will include face painting, a giant game of Operation, henna art and hair braiding. Emergency teams from the Met Police and London Fire Brigade will also be on site with their vehicles for children to get up close to.

Jackie Sullivan, Managing Director at The Royal London Hospital said: “Come and join us for a free fun day out for all the family. Get tips to protect your health and live healthier, and find out about all the great work going on at Barts Health. We are grateful to Barts Charity for funding this event. We look forward to seeing you there!”

Activities are free, and you will be able to purchase food and drink at the event.
