New focus on fundraising for Barts Charity launches at Newham

Barts Charity are very excited to launch a new focus on fundraising across the Trust. The first hospital to adopt this new approach will be Newham Hospital at the end of July.

What’s new at Newham?

A lot of our donations come from people who are grateful for their care so we want to make sure patients, families and staff to know there is a dedicated charity. All of the donations raised at Newham will be spent at Newham.

Over the next few weeks you’ll see more of the charity around Newham Hospital to help boost fundraising there:

  • More visible charity branding will appear around the hospital, featuring real Newham staff.
  • The latest contactless ‘tap to donate’ points will be installed in the restaurant, café and close to the main entrances.
  • New leaflets for staff will be handed out to explain how Barts Charity can support your work and how you can help us raise more for Newham hospital.
  • New donation postcards for patients (right) will be given to each ward, so you have an easy takeaway to hand to patients who ask about giving.

Join us to celebrate!

The official launch will be on the 2nd August at 12pm, where we’ll have 500 free cupcakes to give away, along with Barts Charity bags for life, pens and lanyards customised for Newham Hospital. We’ll be in the Atrium from 11.30am - 3pm on the 2nd August, so please come and chat to find out more!
