Primary care team

Our primary care team aim to improve communication between the Trust and local practices, and highlight feedback about our services from primary care clinicians.

Barts Health is actively working with our local CCGs to develop new care models and better access to care, improve communication between clinicians and develop educational and research opportunities.

We have two dedicated leads for each of the main boroughs we serve – Dr Munesh Mistry, Waltham Forest and Dr Anil Shah, Newham.

The team lead on stakeholder engagement with CCGs and primary care providers, and play a key role in our integrated care, service reconfiguration and quality programmes.

The Team works with primary and acute care colleagues to improve patient safety, reduce the barriers between acute and primary care and bring a primary care perspective to our Board.
